ETS2 Nordic Horizons: Northern Roads Await .
In the new add-on Nordic Horizons for Euro Truck Simulator 2, developers invite us to go to one of the most picturesque places in Europe - Norway.
Here you are met by majestic mountains, calm waters of fjords and winding roads that wind between them.
Between the mountains and the sea
The Scandinavian mountains are one of the symbols of Norway. They stretch almost along the entire border with Sweden and reach the coast of the Arctic Ocean. This massif has more than 140,000 peaks, among which stands out the Galhöpiggen - the highest point of the country, rising to 2469 meters. Despite its impressive size, it rarely snows in the summer and the harsh climate is felt mainly in winter.
In the game, these mountains will become a natural barrier that players have to overcome. Narrow serpentines, tunnels and bridges will become a familiar part of the routes. From the windows of the trucks will open panoramic views, worthy of tourist cards.
Fjords - the heart of northern nature
Norway is famous for its fjords, it is rich in long and narrow sea coves, embedded in the land for tens of kilometers. They came from ancient glaciers that cut through mountains and then gave way to sea water. There are more than a thousand in the country, and each one is unique.
In the DLC, you can ride along places like Infórd, Romsdalsfjorden, Saltdalsfjorden, Skjerstadfjorden and the famous Trondheimsfjord, which is located on the shore of the city of Tromnheim. Here the trails lie right by the water. There are also small villages and campsites create a special atmosphere of privacy and tranquility.
Norwegian roads: test for truck drivers

Those who have been playing Euro Truck Simulator 2 for a long time know that not all routes are the same. In Nordic Horizons this feeling will be reinforced. The roads in Norway are winding, often narrow and passing through mountain passes. The height changes, sharp turns and limited visibility will make you be especially careful.
Of particular interest are the engineering structures of the region, such as tunnels and bridges. To connect remote coastal areas, the Norwegians built dozens of crossings through fjords. One such example is the town of Scooter with a picturesque road leading to the ferry terminal and the impressive Torfjordan bridge. Here you can feel the spirit of true northern logistics.
Nature you want to explore

Unlike the usual flat maps, Nordic Horizons offers a completely different rhythm.
He is here more calm, measured, but full of challenges. Here every turn opens up a new view of the sea or mountains, each settlement seems to be part of one living world.
The release date of the update has not yet been announced, but it is expected to be quite soon. Keep an eye on the news to be informed when this update will be released. You can also add it to your Steam wishlist right now to get an alert when Nordic Horizons comes out.
