The long wait is finally over as the highly anticipated farming game Farming Simulator 19 is released! It really promises to become a huge success after being so much improved in all aspects. Overall gameplay with new mission systems, visuals, immersion and revolutionized multiplayer have all been upgraded and much improved from the previous version of the game. You can now start developing your own farm as a modern farmer in either American or European environment. The game is filled with plenty of realistic farming activities and anyone can enjoy harvesting crops or tending animals. Growing a farm can be very entertaining if you play online together with other players and you can also download mods that have been created by the gaming community. All in all, Farming Simulator 19 is a very large and realistic farming game, so you are guaranteed hours of fun.
One of the best things about the game is that now you have over 300 farming machines and vehicles at your disposal from reputable manufacturers such as Challenger, Massey Ferguson, John Deere, New Holland, Deutz-Fahr, Krone, Case IH, Valtra and many more others. Adding John Deere into the game as a licensed vehicle brand is a major improvement as many players have wished for this iconic farming machinery to be added to the game. Now all farming equipment companies are represented, so Farming Simulator 19 is the closest farming experience you can get from the comfort of your home.
When it comes to options, in Farming Simulator 19 you will see a change from the standard options like Easy, Normal and Hard regarding game difficulty. Now they are replaced with three new options called New Farmer, Farm-Manager, and Start from Scratch. Start from Scratch and Farm-Manager are options in which you start without any farming land, equipment or buildings, which is really challenging but nice. With the New Farmer option you do have some equipment and land which you should continue developing. All three difficulty options come with different starting capitals to use.
It is recommended you go through the tutorial of the game before playing in order to familiarize yourself with the game functions and to understand how everything should be done. After you start playing by choosing desired level of difficulty, you can then proceed to play either on the American or European farming map. The American map has surroundings that represent the west coast of the country, while the European map is a typical farming environment of Europe. Both are great maps to play on and both offer something unique. In the American map you will find some very large farming fields and distinct local architecture, while in the European map there are less open spaces and smaller farming fields, although they are not very small. Both of these maps are completely new maps that were specifically designed for Farming Simulator 19.
Regarding visuals of the game, they are simply amazing. The entire graphics engine has received an overhaul and it is impressive how everything looks in the game. Vehicles are reflecting lights in much more realistic way in comparison to previous version of the game, clouds and grass are both beautiful, and the scenery around the player is sharper and slightly blurred in the distance which gives a nice realistic feel. The crop textures and the soil look better when we compare Farming Simulator 19 with Farming Simulator 17, not to mention the tractors and other machinery that look really gorgeous in this new game.
In Farming Simulator 19 you now have two new crops – oats and cotton. Oats are very similar to other crops like barley or wheat, but cotton is a completely new crop in this game. In order for you to produce cotton you must have a specially moderated harvester and a specific trailer to use for transport. This provides really unique gaming experience because it is a new option in which you can invest your time and money in the game. Also you have to take care of the weeds which will occasionally appear when you seed your crops, and you can remove those if you use herbicide sprayer or a mechanical weeder. If you fail to remove the weeds before the growth of the crop then you will not be able to remove them later and the yield from your crop will be lower.
Other changes you will see in the game are that you are no longer charged costs for daily maintenance for your farming vehicles. That has been replaced with the “wear and tear” option which is a good improvement. Just take your vehicle to the shop for repair when you notice something is wrong with it or when it stops performing as it should.
