i've seen a lot of people reuploading mods for the thousands of times and this needs to stop, what has modland become, admin should literally add a rule where it bans reuploading

why?

what's the problem?

Good afternoon.

I didn't have a Modland account, but your thread made me want to create one. Your argument, “This has to stop,” is pointless and unsubstantiated. I will explain why this practice is normal and should be encouraged.

Dozens of new modifications are released on Modland every day, and you can't keep up with all of them. Reuploads help you notice what you might have missed, for example, over the course of a week, because you don’t always have the opportunity to visit the site. This does not violate the site’s rules or cause any harm; at most, you can make a note that it is a “reupload.”

You also have the option to download it or not. Reuploads help maintain activity, both for the modifications themselves and for the site as a whole.

To me, this seems like a personal, unfounded whim of yours without any real justification or argument. Please do not waste the time of the administration and other users.

Have a nice day.

@666mocoki But, other mods sites, such as the official repository, are able to keep up and maintain the website without reuploads. And, why are you encouraging reuploads? I personally do not want to help maintain the site, as it seems it has been doing pretty well for itself the past ten years.

- Random guy I guess

yeah that's true and they say it's an "Activity Update". people don't need their reuploads to find the cars they want. they can just click "Search..."

do you think everyone sits there 24/7? reuploads of mod old enough (definition of "old" depends on who you gonna ask. for me it's 2 weeks) are ok because this old is already covered by thousand other mods, so "refresh" is more understandable.

and btw hopefully nobody counts old mods that got updated to new version as reupload

@666mocoki Very true.

but its a bit wrong
