After a short rest in Roman's "luxurious" apartments, Niko goes to his taxi park, where a new meeting awaits him.



Here he gets acquainted with Roman's girlfriend Mallory Bardas, and for the first time he meets Vlad Glebov - a local extortionist and a man with an extremely unpleasant character. Vlad immediately shows his attitude: he is rude, rude, flirts with Mallory and threatens Roman with death if he doesn't pay back his debt. Finally, he also insults Niko.

After this incident, Roman proposes to Nico to "drive around town" and go with him to Dillon Street, where he can supposedly win some money and possibly pay off his debts.

Driving to Dillon Street

Get into Roman's cab and carefully drive him to the underground gambling establishment, which is located inside a hardware store (Hardware Store).



On the way, Roman complains about life as usual, but does not lose his optimism.

Arriving at the place, Roman comes out and gives Nico an old button cell phone. The player can now use the phone not only to receive calls, but also to call other characters. This is a key mechanic that will be used frequently in later missions.

Ambush the Albanians

Left alone, Niko must wait in the car outside the store and watch the street.



You should see Albanians, to whom Roman also owes money. In about 30-60 seconds they will arrive in a dirty beige Willard and park across the street.



Two people will get out of the car and they will look around, dropping a sarcastic comment about Roman's cab.

Calling Roman

As soon as you see them, open your phone, select "Roman" in the contact list and call him.



This activates the cutscene: Roman runs out of the store through the back door in a panic and jumps into the car.

The Chase

A chase ensues. The Albanians jump into their Willard and rush after you. It is important to hit the gas immediately and get out of the line of fire. If you parked your car in advance to block the pursuers' exit, you will gain a few valuable seconds of advantage.

It is better not to drive on long straight streets - this will make it easier for the Albanians to shoot at you.

Use turns, nooks, alleys, alleys, yards - anything you can to throw them off your tail. After a short time, they'll fall behind and the mission will move on to the next phase.

Return to the taxicab

After you successfully break away from the pursuit, drive Roman back to his taxicab. He'll be shocked and grateful, and Nico will once again be convinced of the mire of debt his cousin has gotten himself into.

The mission is completed and you get $30. In a few minutes, Roman will send you a text message asking you to drop by his place - he needs help at the taxi stand.

What opens after the mission?

• Full access to the cell phone: now you can call not only Roman, but also other contacts.
• You will receive 30$ reward.

Useful tips

• Keep your car in one piece: at the beginning of the game you don't have money for repairs, so don't risk it for nothing.
• Listen to Roman along the way: his monologues often reveal plot details.
• Leave the car nose to the exit to speed up the breakaway from the pursuers.
• Block the path of the Albanian car in advance to delay them and get a head start on the chase.
• If you hesitate to make the call, the Albanians may enter the store and the mission will fail.
