Diverse Vehicle Handling

Description
This mod improves GTA IV vehicle handling by giving each car class unique characteristics. Vanilla handling was overly wobbly for all vehicles, including sports cars, while some cars like Manana, Perennial, and Voodoo had especially poor handling. This mod fixes that and adds realism for each type of car.

Vehicle Classes

• Old American Boats (Wobble-Barges)
  – Includes muscle cars, 70s sedans (Roman's Taxi, Emperor), Jacob’s weed-wagon, lowrider-style cars like Buccaneer and Manana
  – Soft suspension, significant lean, poor traction
  – Slides and wheelspin require careful throttle control
  – Brakes improved with better rebound and bump damping
  – Extremely durable; high resistance to crashes, bullets, and engine damage
  – Good top speed and acceleration but watch for wheelspin
• SUVs
  – Heavy, chunky vehicles; mostly AWD
  – Good launch, slower top speed
  – Slight understeer in fast corners, very stable otherwise
  – Tough and durable, easy to drive
  – Increased mass and slightly stiffer suspension to limit leaning
• Japanese-style Small Hatchbacks
  – Includes Futo, Ingot, Hakumai, Chavos, Blista Compact
  – Stiff suspension, low lean, minimal slide
  – Average acceleration, top speed, and durability
  – Mix of FWD and RWD, predictable handling
  – Below-average brakes due to stiffness
• Semi-modern to Modern Sedans, Coupes, Touring Cars
  – Broad category covering vehicles not in other classes
  – Good, predictable handling, minimal lean and wheelspin
  – Decent traction and brakes
  – Average durability; high-end luxury sedans like Cognoscenti and Washington can take more damage
  – Average acceleration, higher-end top speed
• Sports Cars
  – Sleek, fast, best handling
  – Superior suspension, acceleration, top speed, and cornering
  – Very planted even in rain
  – Extremely fragile: increased damage from crashes, engine failure, and bullets
  – Requires skillful driving
• Bikes
  – Increased grip and lower center of mass
  – Tighter, more planted handling
  – Reduced sliding even in rain
  – Slightly arcade-like due to high grip

Installation
– Extract the handling.dat file into your data/common folder
– Overwrite the vanilla file
– Optional: make a backup of the original file to revert if needed
