I organized all pickups.meta files and documented the main pickups.meta file to the best of my ability (turn off Word Wrapping). This is dedicated to everyone who has helped me become the person I am today; without their guidance, my modifications would not exist. I challenge any ambitious modders out there to make this game even more gorgeous than the present community has made it!No scripts, only file modifications, therefore no dependencies or performance concerns! All you need is the main game (except the additional Drop Weapons script written by jedijosh920, which is just an extra).Weapons may now be picked up by pressing the E button on a keyboard or the LB button on a gamepad. Say no to unwanted weapons in your armory!Refined collection range values so it's consistent with all pickups and more immersive for the player; now you need to be closer both in first and third person to be able to pick things up.Fixed/Added missing lines that R* failed to supply on some pickups; now they have appropriate first person pickup distance and a clear glow between FPS and TPS. Camera ViewsPicked up weapons are now immediately equipped by the player.All previously unavailable weapons now have pickup data (Fire Extinguisher, Flare, Ball, and BZ Gas).Unique ammunition types for Ray and Mk II weapons! The Widowmaker will no longer replenish after encountering a standard Minigun from the ground, nor will the Mk II weapons when encountering their standard counterpartsEnabled Physics for Money and Weapon Pickups! Collisions have been enabled such that they respond to external forces. DISCLAIMER: This has no effect on health or armor pickups, which do not seem to be influenced by the flag.Pickups now have a health threshold, which means that if they are damaged sufficiently by shooting, putting them on fire, or causing them to explode, they become unobtainable.Pick-up effects have been added! When fired, the fire extinguisher sprays CO2, the molotov ignites a fire, the grenade explodes, teargas sprays gas, and so forth. Some firearms go boom!When you get a pickup, vibrations on the gamepad/controller now last a fifth of a second.Ability to dump weapons, similar to Grand Theft Auto: Online, using a SHVDN script and a programmable hotkey (Thanks, jedijosh920!)Changed the default money pickup to an alternative appearance for cash piles with just one stack of cash, similar to GTA IV.The installation technique is clean. There are no superfluous file substitutions; only update.rpf is touched. ASI Loader (installed from OpenIV -> Tools -> ASI Manager)
Installation Instructions:
Both automatic and manual methods are available. The package includes instructions for manual installation. Simply execute (or open) the.OIV files using OpenIV.
COMPATIBILITY:
Immersive Pickups are compatible with all modifications, including weapon mods, except those that change pickup behavior.Meta files.
RECOMMENDED modifications:
While not essential or reliant on each other, installing these modifications will dramatically improve the experience.
