The Hostage Human Shield mod for Grand Theft Auto 5 is an interactive gameplay enhancement that grants the player a deeper level of strategy and immersion. With this mod, the player can take any nearby NPC (Non-Player Character) as a human shield to protect themselves from incoming enemy fire. 

The mod activates with a specific key command, allowing the player to seize a close-by NPC. The character's health then replaces the player's as a barrier against harm. This feature adds an extra layer of tactical depth, as the player must strategically position themselves in close proximity to NPCs during high tension combat situations. 

However, it's important to remember that the hostage protection is not foolproof, as attackers can still aim and shoot at parts of the player not covered by the human shield. This injects another level of reality and risk into the gameplay. Balancing protection with the decrease in agility and speed while handling a hostage is a thrilling challenge that this mod brings into the GTA 5 universe.

Installation
Place HostageHumanShield.dll and HostageHumanShield.ini into your "scripts" folder. You will need the latest Script Hook V and .NET Script Hook.

Controls
J - Take/Push Hostage
K - Kill Hostage
Q/E - Rotate

The first two controls can be edited via the .ini file.
