Description
Speed Camera Highway adds functional speed cameras to several highway sections across Los Santos and Blaine County. If you enter a camera zone above the posted speed limit, you receive a ticket displaying your license plate, recorded speed, speed limit and the in-game time of the violation.
Repeated violations lead to escalating consequences. Fines increase, your wanted level rises, and the script uses its own police and FBI response if the native wanted system is blocked or reset by another mod.
Features
- 8 Highway Camera Locations with individual, configurable speed limits and a 60-second cooldown
- Escalating Consequences: Fines are deducted from the active character's cash, and wanted levels increase up to 5 stars
- Fallback Enforcement: Manually spawned police and FBI units (including armed SWAT) if the native wanted system is unavailable
- 10 Police Stations: Visit these to clear your wanted level and violation record (blips appear only during active violations)
- HUD Features: Small digital in-game clock (top-left) and speedometer (bottom-right), both independently toggleable
- Measurement Units: Automatically follows game settings or can be manually set to MPH or KMPH in the config file
- Persistence: Violation counts persist between game sessions and reset when the in-game date changes
- Compatibility: Works in Story Mode only
Configuration
Configuration file: scripts/Speed Camera Highway.ini
The file is created automatically when the script runs for the first time. Available settings include measurement units, camera map blips, native wanted level, manual enforcement, unit lifetime, HUD elements, and specific speed limits for each location.
