The Real LAPD Sirens (Fed Sig SS2000) is a modification for Grand Theft Auto 5, aiming to increase the realism of the game by implementing authentic Los Angeles Police Department sirens into the gameplay. The mod entirely replaces the in-game police sirens with the Federal Signal Smart Siren SS2000, widely used in most American emergency service vehicles particularly by the Los Angeles PD.
Its function is not only limited to when the police are chasing you, but it also affects all emergency vehicles including police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances throughout the whole game, making sirens more bright and noticeable. It creates an even more immersive experience by providing real-life audio, ensuring the player experiences the intense atmosphere of a real police chase in Los Angeles.
