The mod entirely replaces the in-game police sirens with the Federal Signal Smart Siren SS2000, widely used in most American emergency service vehicles particularly by the Los Angeles PD.
Its function is not only limited to when the police are chasing you, but it also affects all emergency vehicles including police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances throughout the whole game, making sirens more bright and noticeable.
