Introduction and highlights:
This mod gives handling similar to Race Driver Grid or other semi- sim arcade racers, such as the newly released Forza Horizon 3.
This mod's physics are presently focused on 70% realism and 30% arcade. All vehicles have been changed, including bicycles, trucks, aircraft, helicopters, and boats. Aircraft and boats are still experimental since I'm not sure what each variable does yet. Bicycles have been somewhat modified, but are still experimental.
Warning: Before installing, backup your whole "mods" folder since I have no way of knowing whether it is compatible with the mods you have installed, but I can certainly attempt to troubleshoot if you are having difficulties installing it.
This mod alters various files in the update directories. Furthermore, backup would be impractical since even if I provided basic files as backup, it would only offer the core files and not any file/setting/mod you had before.
Installation:
To update from a prior version (6.0 only), just use the.oiv package and replace the configs folder with the one supplied with the gear ratios mod.
- Core files: Use OpenIV to install via.oiv package, or install manually (file structure mimics that of your game's update folder).
- Settings for optional mods: For further information, see the individual Readme files.
Make careful you install a robust gameconfig file that supports the most recent game version, otherwise the game will crash!!!
