Description
MCA: Crime is an add-on for Minecraft Comes Alive: Reborn that gives villages their own persistent crime and justice system. Crimes can have witnesses, reports, individual cases and consequences ranging from fines and damaged relationships to arrests, jail and being hunted by guards.
Features
- Crime, Karma and Heat: Separates general criminal reputation (Karma) from active law enforcement attention (Heat). Reaching enough Heat makes the player Wanted.
- Witnesses and Reporting: Villagers detect incidents based on distance and line of sight. They can flee, hide, resist, or report crimes to the appropriate local authorities.
- Mugging: Players can threaten villagers for valuables using a timed action. Requires a weapon and is subject to robbery limits and cooldowns.
- Kidnapping and Restraints: Supports three levels of restraints (Rope, Cuffs, and Locked Cuffs). Captives can be held for Ransom, with payments prioritized by family relationships or village treasuries.
- Guards and Arrests: Guards can confront offenders, allowing them to surrender, pay fines, or refuse. Surrendering leads to a physical escort to jail.
- Jail System: Serious offences result in sentences based on online playtime. Supports permanent jail areas or temporary holding cells, with the possibility of jailbreaks.
- Case Tracking: Crimes are stored as individual cases tracking the offender, victim, jurisdiction, and legal status. Cases are resolved via fines, sentences, or pardons.
- Villager Reactions: Crime affects MCA relationships. Dialogue and behavior react to personality, roles, and player standing.
- Player Interface: HUD elements for tracking Heat, Wanted status, jail sentences, and criminal cases.
- Weapon Detection: Recognizes swords, axes, tridents, bows, crossbows, and supported modded firearms.
- MCA: Reputation Integration: Optional integration where crimes and legal resolutions become public Reputation incidents.
- Modpack and Datapack Support: Highly configurable systems. Custom crimes can be added via JSON files and managed with /crime reload and /crime validate.
- Built-In Crimes: Includes theft, harming villagers, assaulting guards, kidnapping, jailbreak, and murder.
