Larion is an unofficial Forge port that significantly changes Minecraft's world generation and terrain.
Features
- Significantly changes world generation and terrain
- Compatible with mods and datapacks that only modify biome features or add new biomes (including most TerraBlender-based mods)
- Compatible with Fast Noise
Compatibility
Mods or datapacks that modify Minecraft's density functions in worldgen/density_functions will conflict with Larion. Using them together can result in broken or unusual terrain and cave generation.
Known incompatible world-generation mods include:
- Terralith
- Tectonic
- Litosphere
- Big Globe
- Expanded Echosphere
- Cascades
Recommended Mods
Larion uses more demanding world generation because the effective world height is roughly doubled. As a result, generating new chunks can take longer than in vanilla Minecraft.
For better performance, the following optimization mods are recommended:
- ModernFix
- FerriteCore
- ServerCore
- BiomeSpy
- Fast Noise
- EfficientHashing
- ThreadTweak Reforged
