Q. Why does this mod have audio files? Aren't these plain?
A. The vanilla sound cues don't always work right and are often broken (like cow sounds that sound weird). These replacement files are less than 1MB in size and have been resampled to work with the game. It's not the best answer, but it works for most people.
Q. I don't always hear the sounds. Why?
A. To avoid repeating, animal sounds have a random cooldown of 6 to 8 seconds. Sometimes, sounds might not play because of limits in the game. Based on feedback, the frequency can be changed in future updates.

– Animal sounds stop at 20:00 when the animals go to sleep.
– Sounds are turned off in the winter when the animals are not outside.
– Instead of time-stretching, resampling makes audio changes. The game changes the pitch by changing the speed of the original sound.
