Steer BeamNG is an hobby utility mod that lets you use an Android phone as a virtual steering wheel controller for BeamNG.drive, without requiring physical steering hardware.
The system uses a Windows helper application built on the vJoy library to create a virtual steering wheel device detected by windows and is compatible with all games. The Android app acts as a real-time controller, sending steering, pedal, gearbox, and camera inputs over UDP (port 5000).
The controller UI is designed as a two-finger setup, allowing players to drive without constantly looking at the screen.

Is this only works for BeamNG? I can tell that ur using Vjoy which i'm using for the same thing, whats the maximum rotational degree of the app? If the app could be used on other games which should be possible it would be great!
@haleson It works for all games and has multiple steering angles (270, 360, 450, 540, 720, 900)x2 but all of them work with finger drag currently not with gyro. As this app was initially designed to support drag gestures. Thankyou for the suggestion it will get implemented soon.Â
@haleson Theres an Accelerometr support but it's really bad, after steering 20 degrees it steers fully into right/left
@haleson After testing the program it looks to be good, but! The best thing is to add Gyroscope support, it'll make everything even more immersive, which i would really love to see in this app [and i know it's possible since ur using Vjoy, but who knows how easy it is to implement]
pls add accelerometer steering
@A13u13akar u can add as a pedal like throttle and brake u need to release throttle to use clutch but its not bad
@GenericBeamNGDriver do you have any suggestion on how the clutch should work while keeping the design 2 fingers friendly?

@A13u13akar thank u and when i want to shift gear the h shifter drags everywhere and a clutch button is required too

can this be setup as just a button box for extra controls on vehicles aswell? --- id like to be able to just map the extra controls for like towtruck mods and the new machinery like the loader beamNG added to vanilla.

@A13u13akar  basically if there can be a layout without the steering or throttle stuff to map extra controls to for machinery and tow trucks is what im curious of- if it's just like the turn signals, horn, ect. that i could just put up the boxes and remap so i can control up/down/in/out functions on things is all i need to know before i download----------- if i can currently use it to map some extras too theres only like 6-10 buttons i'd need to use if thats already possible it'll work since i have the other peripherals for driving, its just a pain to use the keyboard with VR where i can use a phone onehanded is all. ;)Â
@VRMotionRigRacing  We can build a complete button box. Communication is currently one-way, and I’m working to make it two-way. A static button box is already possible, and yes this project is submitted to BeamNG Mods and is under review.
@A13u13akar  once you have implement a button box function without driving ui please do send a ping. is there also a thread about this on the beamNG official forums? this is kinda big since its essentially a buttonbox without the need for complicated software. Â
@VRMotionRigRacing  yup thats possible, currently we are using around 25 buttons and we can have up to 128 buttons tap/hold, so i will have it implemented soon.

The button is malfunctioning, the gear assembly isn't working either, and there are problems with the pedal simulation function. Only part of it works properly. Please fix it, bro.

@JETAM  Got you, brother. The current gearbox is designed to work without looking at it—just grab anywhere within the gearbox area and drag your finger the same way you’d shift real gears. Let me know if you want a static gearbox option too.
Also, which buttons aren’t working? They need to be bound inside the game.Troubleshoot: search for Configure vJoy in windows search, open it, set Buttons = 128, and hit Apply.
In the android app. It says you cant run this app without update and i have the most updated version.

@Mayonizeks I think the controls are bound incorrectly in BeamNG. The current pedal only sends a soft accelerator and brake based on how much you slide it. Use the vJoy Monitor tool to trouble shoot the inputs.
@A13u13akar you added a slider pedal in the mobile app but its not slider bro. Even with just a slight pull on the pedal,it presses the gas and brake pedals to depth
