- Hotfix update focused on ensuring compatibility with the latest BeamNG.drive 0.39 update.
- Fixed a tree texture issue introduced by the BeamNG.drive 0.39 update where trees were appearing without textures on the map.
Discover Rubicon Trail, a map created for that immerses you in a wild environment inspired by the famous rocky landscapes of California. Designed for off-road exploration and crawling enthusiasts, this map features technical crawler paths, varied roads, and numerous sections that will challenge your driving skills.
Currently in development (version 0.1), this first release lays the foundation of the experience and will continue to evolve with new areas, visual improvements, and gameplay adjustments in future updates.
Although fictional, the map captures the natural atmosphere, rugged terrain, and spirit of adventure that make this type of environment legendary among off-road fans.
About the Rubicon Trail
The real Rubicon Trail is a legendary off-road route located near South Lake Tahoe in California, United States. Known for its massive rocks, technical passages, and spectacular mountain scenery, it is considered one of the most iconic rock-crawling trails in the world. For decades, it has attracted adventurers, 4×4 clubs, and nature enthusiasts eager to take on its demanding terrain.
This map is a fictional interpretation freely inspired by this unique environment.

@MatMapinG The map seems broken in version 0.39 (0.7.1). There is no "No texture" issue, but environmental elements, vegetation, and even the player's vehicle skin fail to load—not to mention the severe drop in frame rate.
@flo8140 On my side, I haven't experienced any texture loading issues or FPS drops while testing the map. I'll look into reducing the map's file size for the next update.I'll resume development and updates in September, after the summer break. Thanks for your patience and for reporting the issue!
@MatMapinG Okay, thanks, I'll give that a try. However, several of us are noticing that textures aren't loading and FPS is dropping. Is there a plan to reduce the map size (in GB)?

Thank you for your feedback.
I recommend trying the following steps:
Clear the game cache.
Verify the integrity of the game files in BeamNG.drive.
These steps will most likely remove the map, so you'll need to reinstall it afterward.
This should fix the issue if it is caused by corrupted game or cache files.
@MatMapinG this map just crashes my game. any suggestions?

Grande MaT mappa molto grande, provata la parte con le rocce, ma spero farai del tuo meglio per renderla unica, sarebbe bello fare anche dei sali è scendi sempre con rocce, tronchi, gomme, ma so che ci vorrà parecchio tempo per fare tutto questo

You make amazing maps, is there a way to redo or fix Crawling Lands, it was an amazing map but can't load in it anymore
@DreamMods Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! 🙏I tried to fix Crawling Lands, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to repair it properly… That’s also why I created Rubicon Trail, to replace my older maps.
You can still play Crawling Lands by following these steps:
1️⃣ Launch the game2️⃣ Open the editor by pressing F113️⃣ Click File → Open Level…4️⃣ Double-click Crawling Lands, then click Open5️⃣ Once the map is loaded, press F11 again to exit the editor
And that’s it! 🙂 Have fun!
