On the other hand, because of this abundance, it becomes a difficult task to find really worthwhile mods. Some of them are outdated and do not work on new versions of the game, others may not be interesting enough to waste time downloading them and may contain bugs. Others simply do not live up to expectations.

Realistic Truck Physics Mod

This is one of the most significant modifications for realism enthusiasts in ETS2. It completely changes the behavior of trucks, making their handling more natural and closer to real-world conditions. Driving becomes more challenging—trucks respond much more accurately to road surfaces, weather conditions, and loads compared to the standard version of the game.

One of the main changes you’ll notice after installing the mod is the reworked suspension. The truck and trailer suspension will behave more smoothly, and the cabin will sway more naturally during braking, acceleration, and turns. This is especially noticeable on uneven roads or during sharp maneuvers, where you can feel the weight of the cargo and inertia truly affecting the handling.

Braking physics is also worth mentioning. It becomes more realistic—during sudden braking, the real weight of the truck is felt, requiring the driver to calculate stopping distances in advance. Additional refinements have improved handling on different road types: now, truck behavior in rainy conditions differs from dry weather.

The mod is compatible not only with all standard ETS2 trucks but also with popular modifications, including the Scania RS and R4 by RJL, the DAF by 50keda, the Volvo FH 2013 by Ohaha, and the MAN TGX Euro 6 by MADster. The developers regularly update the mod, adding support for new versions of the game and the latest trucks. For example, the latest updates added support for new generation Volvo Trucks, Iveco S-Way and new DAF.

In order to get the maximum effect from the mod, it is recommended to adjust the game settings. Changing the suspension stiffness and stability of the truck makes the control even closer to reality. In addition, the Active Roll Control (ARC) system has been added, which reduces body roll - this is especially noticeable when transporting heavy loads on corners.

Sound Fixes Pack

This is one of those mods without which Euro Truck Simulator 2 no longer seems so lively and atmospheric. It has been around for more than nine years and has gained a whole fan base during this time. The main purpose of the mod is to rework the sound component of the game, so that all the sounds in the game played better and perceived as real.

One of the main advantages is the updated sound atmosphere both in the cab of the truck and in the surrounding world. Now even the most familiar sounds, such as the rumble of tires on different types of road surfaces, the splash of water under the wheels during rain or the sound of working suspension, have become more detailed. For example, rubber makes characteristic sounds on gravel, grass, snow and asphalt, and when sliding on wet roads you can hear the realistic sound of tires losing traction.

The handling of AI traffic sounds has been greatly improved. Each car, bus or motorcycle in the stream has a unique sound profile, and the sounds of klaxon and engine correspond to real analogs. Special attention should be paid to the updated set of sounds for trains, including realistic noises of working locomotives, whistles and signals characteristic for specific models.

The developers have not forgotten about the in-game environment. Improved sounds at gas stations, cabin doors now close with a pleasant click, and after refueling you can hear the sound of fastening the seatbelt. Added more powerful reverberation effects when driving under bridges and overpasses. Inside the cabin you can feel the dynamics of the air when the window is open, and wind howls at high speed became more distinct.

The mod is compatible with all maps, trucks and even most third-party sound modifications. In Convoy mode, it can be used as an optional mod. Therefore, it is also good for multiplayer trips!

For best performance it is recommended to install it above other modifications, especially those related to maps, traffic and weather effects.

One of the interesting innovations was the addition of alternative alert sounds. The standard music signaling lateness is now replaced by the classic Nokia ringtone. This reduces the stress when delivery dates are missed.

True Mirror FOV

Don't like how vehicle mirrors look in ETS2? True Mirror FOV will solve this problem instantly!

The main change affects the primary mirrors—objects in them will appear closer, taller, and narrower, while the field of view has been slightly reduced to eliminate distortions. This is especially important for simulating real driving, as ETS2’s default settings often make mirrors less informative than they are in reality. As a result, players get a more natural perception of distances and the dimensions of other vehicles. These changes are particularly useful for lane changes, parking, and reversing.

Additional side and wide-angle mirrors have also been adjusted. Their viewing angle has been corrected, making it more comfortable and safer for truck drivers to monitor the surroundings on the road. Now, they provide an expanded view without excessive distortions, reducing the chances of maneuvering errors to almost zero.

The modification is compatible with all game versions starting from 1.47 and supports most trucks, including standard models and DLC content. However, if you have other mods that modify mirrors, it is recommended to set True Mirror FOV to the highest priority in the mod manager. This helps avoid compatibility issues with other modifications.

The latest updates have introduced additional improvements. Now, small auxiliary mirrors remain unchanged.

Developers have also worked on eliminating possible distortions—reflections now look more natural.

Note that this mod does not change the gameplay but significantly enhances the convenience of truck control, especially in difficult and unexpected road situations.

Top Corner & Small Mirrors

A real gem for those who want to free up the screen from bulky virtual mirrors without completely giving them up. After installation, virtual mirrors will be compactly placed in the upper corners of the screen, ensuring they don’t obstruct the road view or interface. They will remain functional and convenient but will no longer block important display elements.

No more constant switching between cameras to check blind spots—virtual mirrors will continue to do their job but in a smaller size. This is especially useful when driving from the cabin view, as nothing will distract you from the road.

To enable or disable virtual mirrors, simply press the F2 key. If you don’t like their placement or want to feel like a more hardcore trucker, you can always remove them with a single button press.

The mod works without conflicts with most other mods. However, it is recommended to place it above others, such as Route Advisor and GPS, to avoid potential compatibility issues.

AI Traffic Pack by Jazzycat

After installing this modification, more than 500 new vehicles will appear in the game, including popular car models, SUVs, vans, and police cars for 11 countries.

Keep in mind that the mod is aimed at adding vehicles for traffic, not trucks and cars that you can drive yourself!

Now the roads in ETS2 will look much more lively and saturated. In the stream you can meet both old classic models and modern cars from leading manufacturers, such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Renault, Ford, Volvo, Jaguar, Porsche and many others. This pack will be especially useful for maps with detailed cities.

Separate attention deserves special attention trailers for passenger cars, which are also added to the traffic. This is a small but important detail that makes the road picture more realistic. In addition, the mod contains realistic 3D logos for standard ETS2 vehicles and more than 600 unique skins for vans.

It is important to note that the mod does not replace standard vehicles, but adds new ones. Therefore, it can work on any maps without conflict with other mods. However, if you have problems such as missing vehicles or sudden crashes, you can increase the r_buffer_page_size parameter in the game configuration file by setting its value to 20 or 30 depending on the amount of video memory.

Awesome Radio v.1.7 600+ European Radio Stations

Music and radio are an important part of the atmosphere in Euro Truck Simulator 2. It's pretty hard to argue with that! Long hours behind the wheel are much more pleasant with your favorite tunes or radio programs. However, the standard list of radio stations in the game is quite limited, so over time they can get boring. This mod will not let this happen!

After installing this mod in the game will appear 638 new radio stations from all over Europe. Now you can not only enjoy music, but also listen to news, sports, discussions and even talk shows from different countries. The most popular stations from the UK, Germany, France, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, Russia and many other countries are supported.

For convenience, the mod has different versions. You can install the full European package or choose a separate build for a specific country. For example, if you often drive in the UK, you can use the version with 105 British stations, and if in Germany - 112 German radio stations. This allows you to organize the radio in the game as conveniently as possible, without overloading the list with unnecessary channels.

The mod replaces the original streamers in the game, but you can easily update the list by clicking the “Update from Internet” button. If some station stops working, you can always inform the mod developer to fix the list in the next version.

Real Traffic Density

One of the most popular and advanced mods for Euro Truck Simulator 2. Its main purpose is to change the behavior of traffic. If you think that the standard traffic on the roads is too boring and monotonous, then download this mod and everything will change! It will add life to the world of ETS2 and make driving on highways, busy city streets and rural roads much more interesting.

After installing Real Traffic Density the traffic density will start to change depending on the time of day, type of roads and even the size of the city. During peak hours you can expect congestion and traffic jams, but at night the roads will be much freer. This creates a really lively and believable atmosphere - traffic on the road will become less predictable. In addition, the mod revises the rules of appearance of cars on the road: trucks, cars, buses and even motorcycles now have clearly defined proportions.

One of the main features of this mod is a unique system of speed classes for different types of transportation. For example, emergency services, sportscars and motorcycles can now accelerate faster than the flow, overtaking other vehicles, while trucks will follow their realistic speed limits. That said, the system allows some vehicles to randomly go slightly over the speed limit.

The mod also includes improved logic of traffic lights, adapted to the increased traffic density. The duration of the green signal is now adjusted depending on the number of lanes at the intersection, which reduces the likelihood of traffic jams. In addition, slow vehicles such as tractors and combines have been introduced, but their number is limited and they appear only on certain types of roads, making their presence natural.

Real Traffic Density supports all popular traffic packs, including motorcycles, classic autos and sports cars, which are now spun according to their own rules rather than simply being added to the general flow.

It's worth bearing in mind that due to the increased density of traffic, the game may require more resources. This can be especially noticeable if a lot of additional traffic packs are installed. Therefore, it is not recommended to increase the g_traffic parameter manually, as the mod already uses the optimal settings. The developer also recommends placing Real Traffic Density above all other mods that affect traffic to avoid conflicts and achieve the best results.

Early Autumn

The mod adds to Euro Truck Simulator 25 the atmosphere of early fall. It is not just a change of color palette. It completely redesigns textures, lighting and weather effects.

Old vegetation has been replaced with better quality tree models, road and sidewalk textures have become more detailed. The thick grass along the tracks will be more dense. Autumn hues are spreading smoothly throughout: leaves on trees have been painted in golden, red and brown colors, and the first traces of fallen leaves have appeared on sidewalks.

Morning commutes can now begin with a light mist that gradually dissipates as the sun rises. Atmospheric precipitation has become more elaborate, and raindrops on the windshield look even more natural. In addition, the length of daylight hours now matches the fall season - dawn comes later and dusk falls earlier, adding extra atmospherics to night flights.

In addition to visual changes, the mod also adjusts the temperature readings. Early Autumn perfectly conveys the transition period between summer and deep fall, when you can already feel the cold in the air, but you can still enjoy the last warm days.

This mod is compatible with all official DLC maps, and also works with ProMods and other popular map modifications. However, the developer strongly recommends disabling other graphics and weather mods to avoid conflicts. Early Autumn should be prioritized in Mod Manager so that all its changes are correctly displayed in the game.

Ultimate Real Companies

The modification replaces fictional companies in Euro Truck Simulator 2 with their real-world counterparts. The idea of the project is to gradually replace all in-game brands with existing ones in the real world.

The mod affects logos and company names. But in addition, it adds realistic trucks that match their geographical location. Trucks with logos of local companies appear in cities. This applies to both transportation corporations and small firms that can be found on the streets of European cities.

All changes in the mod are documented in detail in a special table, where you can see which companies have already been replaced and which are yet to be updated. The developer continues to work on the mod, gradually covering more and more game elements.

Classic Cars Traffic Pack by TrafficManiac

A pack for fans of classic cars of the 60s, 70s and 80s. Instead of modern cars on the roads appear iconic models of the past.

The pack contains 178 cars, including legendary models from Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and many other manufacturers. There are iconic cars such as the Ferrari Testarossa, Porsche 911 Carrera '73, Lamborghini Miura, Jaguar E-Type and Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale. In addition to famous sports cars, classic sedans, hatchbacks, minivans and even retro trucks - RAF 2203 and Mercedes-Benz TN - appear in the traffic.

The mod is fully autonomous and does not replace the standard cars of the game. Compatible with all maps and AI-packs from Jazzycat. Two versions are included: one is intended for use with default traffic, the other is adapted to work together with AI-packs Jazzycat.

The modpack is supported and updated. In the latest update, a new batch of cars was added, as well as adjustments to traffic behavior.
