GTA 6 Modding Has Huge Potential, Says Razed
If you are eagerly awaiting the release of GTA 6, then you probably already know that the game is scheduled to be released on May 26, 2026, according to the developers themselves. Although earlier there were rumors in the community that the release would most likely take place in the fall of 2025. But the developers dispelled these rumors by publishing a post announcing the delay.
And since there is still time before the game's release, players can't sit still and are looking for new information about the game, as well as making their own assumptions about what it will be like. Modders are also not sitting still and are sharing their opinions. One such person is a mod developer known as Razed. He is a popular mod creator who has devoted thousands of hours to his work. He created a well-known mod for Grand Theft Auto V called NaturalVision. In his opinion, the next installment of GTA will offer much greater opportunities for modding.
“I think modding will become even more popular when GTA 6 finally comes to PC. I hope Rockstar will provide players with official tools for modifying the game, given the direction they are moving in with FiveM. There is huge potential here,” said Razed.
The modder also noted that it would be interesting if Rockstar created a full-fledged marketplace for selling user-generated content, as Bethesda did. According to him, this could be beneficial for both the studio and the mod authors:
“I would really like to see something like that happen. I would love to work on mods for GTA 6, but to be honest, it's too early to talk about the prospects. I don't think visual modifications will be as popular this time around.”
Modding for GTA 6 is often discussed online. It is still difficult to say whether there will be official support for mods. However, there are leaks that Rockstar is looking for specialists in the field of game add-on development. Therefore, we can assume that they are looking for them specifically for Grand Theft Auto VI. We will wait for official statements from the developers. Because right now, all discussions about mod support are nothing more than speculation and opinions.
