Louisiana DLC gameplay for American Truck Simulator: swamps, bridges, and the spirit of New Orleans .
The American south is ready to welcome truckers with open arms. SCS Software showcased the first gameplay of the upcoming Louisiana DLC expansion for American Truck Simulator and it is perhaps one of the most atmospheric journeys that await us in the future.
Mississippi and workdays
The main artery of the region is the mighty Mississippi River, which has defined the life of Louisiana for centuries. It is laid bridges and highways, which will now become part of the routes of the players.
But this is not only about beautiful views, because there is a lot of work. Developers promise an abundance of orders. A large number of goods of all kinds and different points from which they can be picked up are likely to be presented for carriage. For example - farms, fields of nesfti. So that the goods will be expensive and valuable.
Louisiana remains the industrial heart of the South, and drivers clearly will not be bored.
Through swamps and cities
The terrain here is quite atypical for American Truck Simulator, expect a lot of new interesting locations. You will see a huge contrast between the bustling cities and the cypress swamps that you have to drive past while doing your job.
Not far from Port Fourchon, and stretches north to Lake Charles, almost on the border with Texas.
On the way you can find everything that Louisiana is loved for - boundless swamps where cycad sounds reflected in the water, narrow roads leading deep into the wilderness, and of course, New Orleans, with its unique energy and streets steeped in jazz. You should also not pass through the famous river Mississippi.
Add-on still in development
Developers focus on the fact that this DLC is in development, so everything you see in the trailer can change in the final version.
Below you can see this very review of the Louisiana add-on. However, it is not yet available for purchase. It is already available to add to the wishlist on Steam, but the exact release date remains a secret for now.
