The TerraMath mod allows you to create unique worlds in Minecraft using mathematical formulas. Instead of the usual landscape generator, you can specify functions such as sin(x) to generate a wavy world or other unusual shapes.
Basic generation settings:
- Scale: controls the size of the terrain. For example, at a value of 1, one period of the function corresponds to one block, and at 10 it corresponds to ten blocks. The larger the scale, the smoother and more stretched the relief will be.
- Base elevation: sets the center level of the terrain, e.g. 64 for sea level. The main relief is built relative to this point.
- Elevation variation: defines the maximum deviation from the base elevation. For example, with a value of 32, the terrain can go 32 blocks up or down. Larger values create high mountains and deep valleys.
- Smoothing: reduces sharp elevation differences. At zero, the generation is as is, while increasing the value makes sharp corners and cliffs smoother.
