Description
Civillis is a civilization-based protection mod that makes your settlements feel safer without covering your world with torches or artificial defenses.
The mod detects the signs of civilization you naturally create, such as campfires, beds, crafting tables, and furnaces, then uses them to push hostile mobs away. The larger and more developed your settlement becomes, the stronger the protection.
No commands, rituals, or new gameplay systems are required. Build your home, and the world reacts. If you leave an area for too long, civilization slowly fades and nature begins reclaiming the territory. However, well-developed cities remain protected.
Features
- Natural Spawn Suppression: Blocks you already use for building determine your civilization level. Campfires, beds, furnaces, and crafting tables provide protection.
- Monsters Flee: Hostile mobs inside civilized zones attempt to leave and move toward less civilized areas. Highly developed city centers can force enemies to retreat.
- Civilization Decay: Protection decreases in areas that remain unused, encouraging active settlements. Singleplayer offline time does not affect progress.
- Skull Attraction: Create controlled wilderness zones inside civilized areas for mob spawning using mob heads and special structures.
- Civilization Sonar: Scan nearby civilization levels using a portable detector (compass and emeralds) or a bell on a lodestone.
- Podium of Undying: Build an altar in highly civilized areas to create a one-time emergency revival point using a totem.
- Modpack Ready: Fully customizable through datapacks. Configure block weights, mob attraction, zone rules, and custom civilization values using tags like #civil:high_civilized and #civil:low_civilized.
