Description
Particle Rain reinvents Minecraft’s vanilla weather system with immersive particle effects and dynamic atmospheric visuals. The mod also adds fog, wind effects and sandstorms to make the environment more realistic. All weather effects are customizable through the in-game configuration menu.
Features
- Rain Particles: Rain falls at an angle to simulate wind direction; wind intensity increases during storms
- Snow Particles: Snowflakes slowly rotate while falling for a smoother visual effect
- Sandstorms: Dust and dry shrubs move through deserts and other arid biomes; supports modded biomes; sandstorm colors adapt to the block beneath them
- Biome Tint: Rain and water particles use biome-based water coloring; vanilla biome colors are intentionally more subtle
- Water Ripples: Ripple effects appear when rain hits water surfaces; ripple resolution automatically matches your resource pack; fully configurable
- Water Streaks: Rain creates streak effects on solid surfaces and walls; can be configured to work on any block type
- Mist Effects: Ground moisture evaporates after rainfall, creating mist above the surface; mist also appears naturally in biomes tagged with #c:is_spooky and #c:is_wet; all behavior is configurable
- Configuration & Custom Effects: Create custom atmospheric particle effects for specific blocks and biomes; modify existing effects directly through the built-in configuration menu
Installation Instructions
- Fabric versions require Fabric API
- Open the configuration menu with the /particlerain command or through your mod loader’s mod menu
