If you want to learn how to make glass in Minecraft—whether it's Java, Bedrock, or the console version—you've come to the right place. The process is the same for all platforms, and here you'll learn step by step what you need to do.
1. First, find some sand
To make glass, the first thing we need is sand. It is quite common, especially near water or in the desert. Just go to a pile of sand and start digging.
It is best to use a shovel because it makes digging sand much faster. Of course, you can do without it, but it will take a little longer.
At this stage, you don't need to collect a whole pile — even one block of sand is enough to get started.
2. Make or find a furnace

Next, we need a furnace to load the sand into. If you don't have one yet, crafting a furnace is very simple — you only need eight cobblestones, which can be obtained from ordinary stone with a pickaxe.
3. Prepare fuel

The furnace will not work without fuel, so put something inside that can be burned. Most often this is coal, but boards, wood, sticks — anything that can burn — will also work.
4. Melt the sand

Now it's simple: put the sand in the upper chamber of the furnace and the fuel in the lower chamber. After a few seconds, the sand will melt, and you will get glass.
5. How to use glass

The finished glass can be used anywhere — for decoration, windows, greenhouses, and so on. But keep in mind one important detail: if you break a glass block, it will not drop out, and you will lose it. It can only be retrieved with a tool enchanted with Silk Touch.
6. How to make glass panels (windows)
If you need window panels rather than just glass, make six glass blocks and place them in the crafting table like this:
The result is glass panels that look like real windows and save materials.
