SCS Software is Preparing South Dakota DLC for ATS: What to Expect From The New DLC 1
SCS Software is working on a new interesting add-on for American Truck Simulator, which is called «South Dakota». The DLC already has its own Steam page, but the release date is unknown. But the developers actively work out all the details about their developments in their blog, where information about this add-on was published.
The DLC is a new location in the game. Below we will look at what this location is. Also below on screenshots you can see how it will look.
Natural diversity of the state
South Dakota is located in the north-central part of the USA and surprises with its multifaceted nature. Driving a truck, players will be able to drive past fertile fields, long meadows and rock masses that change one after the other, giving completely different experiences of driving.
The western part of the state is famous for its dense forests and characteristic mountain formations - the Black Hills, whose rounded peaks have long been a hallmark of the region. It is here that the US85, US385, US18 and SD-44 roads pass through such atmospheric cities as Sturgis and Hot Springs.
Scenic routes and national parks
One of the main routes in the state is the I-90 interstate highway, which crosses South Dakota from east to west. Along the way, players will be able to look into the famous Badlands National Park, where winding roads are laid out among fantastic rocky landscapes.
The route continues across the Missouri River, which divides the state into two large parts. And if the west is known for mountains and forests, then the east is vast plains, soft hills and vast fields of sunflowers and of course rivers.
Eastern roads and countryside
On the eastern side of the state there are no less interesting routes - SD34, US50, SD50, I-90 and US18. Here the view opens wide rural spaces, landscapes with river valleys and endless fields that go beyond the horizon.
Recall that the release date of the expansion is unknown, but already now South Dacota DLC can be added to the desired in Steam.
