such a outdated ai traffic mod zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz talk about boring and loud
Request: Can you add compatibility for DiscoverOntario map mod? Just need a folder called "dontario" in countries' def folder.
I am currently running 7 jazzycat and 4 trafficmaniac MODS from modland. My single player game has 165 active MODS. You need to make sure that you take your time and click only on the middle tab option on the second page. It will bring you to an alternate website once in a while: close that page and open the last one you were on and click on the same option in the middle. I do not understand why all MODS are not on STEAM. It updates MODS for you. Having all of these MODS active at once produces just the right amount of traffic in my opinion. I hate playing without them.
@Sandy completely false. While the game engine is dated, if you know what you are doing you can modify the games settings and launch options to better suit your PC and it's settings like changing values in -mm_pool_size -mm_max_resource_size and -mm_max_tmp_buffers_size. Just because you are playing on a soviet era toaster that can barely handle 100 mods, doesn't mean everyone else is. I highly suggest doing more research before making statements such as yours. Running 140+ mods 400% scaling at 90+ fps.
Also, its not a question if "this mod works for me and not for you". The game engine is obsolete and it doesnt matter how powerful is your pc, so many mods will completely saturate the data stream in the game engine lol. And performance will drop drastically no matter if you have 2000gb of ram or a gpu with 30 gb LOL!!. After so many years people still dont understand this, sigh... now THAT is embarrasing.
@BlackJakSchelack And being a liar and a fool is even more embarrasing. Because there is no way, sorry that having so many traffic mods and other mods wont make your game choppy. Im sorry i just hate liars and patronizing people. Go back to your cave, please. And dude, are you new? it doesnt matter if you have 16GB or 64gb lol, even with just 8gb you have more than enough to run any traffic mods you want, thats not the problem. This only proves that you are full of sh1t and you dont have a clue about anything lmao.
@George @BlackJakSchelack So let me get this straight, you hate these MODS and want to remove my freedom to use them because you are getting hiccups all over the place. I have been a PC gamer since my Tandy 1000 back in 87. I can't stand hiccups in games. My goal is to play at 60 FPS in all games, my framerate will dip into the mid 40's at the Mexican border and into the 50's in the odd city but very fluid 96% of the time. You sound upset that these MODS are working for me and not for you. Sounds like an ish-you. I have water cooled both; CPU 5900X running all cores at 4.7Ghz & GPU 6900XT utilizing 360W, I also have 32GB of system RAM If I was bragging I would say I had newer hardware. I have optimized ATS to utilize up to 32GB of system RAM by following the tweak on the page just before the bottom of GMC's webpage. If you have less than 32GB do not use that option. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1A9g6rWxvSMVXGCcXMrT3ciJNA-scYOWS/view
Going on about things you don't know about is embarrassing. You could have chosen a better way to communicate.
What the game nees is NOT more traffic, what the game needs is a better way to distribute it. So, we see traffic all the time in all the roads. Right now, there are moments at many hours where you can literally drive alone and suddenly you start seeing waves of traffic at calculated timings that looks terrible and breaks all the immersion. Its like all the traffic gets busy in cities (and still there are many cities where traffic is inexistent) but it does not get out of the city lol. It gets stuck in there. So, until SCS improves how traffic is spawned and distributed in the game, using traffic mods is dumb. As the other guy said, maybe the motorcycle one is a must, but others.. pff, why bother.
@BlackJakSchelack Ow, some of you love to play at ridiculous framerates and with hiccups all over the place... lol. Dude, why dont you go back to mario bross? lol. And no, you dont need not even two traffic mods. I only use the motorcycle pack. Period. Nothing more. You dont need more. The only thing that vanilla traffic is missing since the ages of times are motorcycles. Thats all. And thats the only traffic mod that you need. Vanilla has many many cars already and trucks. And if what you want is more traffic you can increase it, and it has nothing to do with using more or less traffic mods. I just dont understand people installing so many traffic mods, its ridiculous, but again, someone who loves to play at ridiculous framerates will never care about doing ridiculous things.
@Regrets Its 8 now.
7 upvotes lol. People around this community is so stupid.. amazes me ^^
@Judge You must be the only one. I never experienced what you are saying, yes i did maybe once in my life. But ive been using motorcycle packs since the beginnings of times, and precisely this is the only pack that is actually worthy to use. Sport cars are completely stupid, why the heck do you want them? there is not even a proper sound included with them. And you complain about motorcycles and you are using the sport cars pack?? dude, you are delusional.
