Sorry, dude, it was sarcasm. For DX11 it ought to support metallic paint which uses UV3 channel. So if you provide this for all paintable details, you may be sure your mod supports DX11.

the last version that I checked was 1.35 dx9 I imagine you still have to pull in 1.36 dx11

If it is not tested on DX11, how can you write it is for v1.35? Why not to write it is for v1.36?
