More About Assetto Corsa Evo: New Driving Academy Mode, Improved Physics and More
Assetto Corsa Evo will be released as a early access game on Steam starting from the 16th of January 2025. The first version of the game will include 20 cars of different classes and brands as well as 5 tracks from 4 different continents such as Laguna Seca in USA, Brands Hatch in Europe, Mount Panorama in Australia and Suzuka in Japan.
In total, about 100 cars and 15 tracks should appear in the game after the early access release. Also with the release of updates this list will expand.
Players are waiting for a lot of dynamic tracks, improved weather conditions, AI-based opponents, open world and much more. On the tracks you can experience dynamically changing conditions - the formation of wet areas after rain or the gradual accumulation of rubber on the pavement. Animated spectators, marshals and other elements that create the atmosphere of the real racing world will add realism. The physics of the cars has also been enhanced: The suspension system has been also modified and improved to provide more realistic response to the bumps on the road and shocks.
Open World

The open world will be one of the key features of the game. But it can be considered as an addition, not a mandatory element, because the player will be able to decide for himself - to play in the open world, or use the standard mode. The map will be updated step by step during Early Access, and by the summer of 2025 players will be able to explore the region around the legendary Nürburgring.
The developers used the latest technology to create an accurate model of the landscape. Laser scanning and photogrammetry made it possible to reproduce every detail. Players will be able to interact with local businesses, rent cars and improve them in workshops.

The developers have significantly reworked the physics of the car. The new suspension model takes into account the influence of bumps and bumps. Also tire simulation has been improved: their behavior is now as close to reality as possible thanks to the analysis of track data and feedback from professional racers.

AC Evo uses a modern graphics engine based on DirectX 12, specially developed by Kunos Simulazioni for racing simulators. It includes a fully dynamic weather system that creates realistic skies, clouds and fogs. Localized precipitation will add to the atmosphere, while global illumination and reflections will take the game's graphics to the next level.
Driving Academy mode
AC Evo will feature a new Driving Academy mode. It will offer players a step-by-step exploration of the tracks, as well as the completion of iconic challenges using different cars. Academy will help to learn both basic skills and advanced driving techniques, as well as allow you to unlock licenses needed to access more powerful cars.
AC Evo promises to be the biggest project in the history of the Assetto Corsa franchise. The unique combination of racing simulator and open world, improved physics and new features make the game a promising project. Stay tuned and get ready for the Early Access launch in January!
