The Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the latest projects from CD Projekt Red. The developers have been working on the game for quite a few years with teasers along the way but now it appears that the game is finally nearing the launch. The game conventions usually provide more information on the upcoming releases. It has been no different with regards to the Cyberpunk 2077. The hype is getting real.

10 things worth knowing before the game launch

These are some of the things that we know so far and you should be aware regarding the game before its launch. So here we go.

10) It's a futuristic, bleak view of the dystopian society: As the name cyberpunk suggests, this game is going to be set in quite a far away in the future. This basically means that world has transcended into some form of dystopia. It is suggested that most of the humans would be gone by then. While that is bleak it also makes for a gripping plot line. 

9) Cybernetic enhancements are coming: There are some games that focus on differences between man and the machine, the cyberpunk 2077 also explores the cybernetic enhancements for the human beings and explores trend of the self-alteration.

8) Brutal combat system: The combat system you get with this game is fatal. The moment you are shot, you die unlike other games where there's a health bar which keeps getting reduced every time you are shot. The combat system is one of the fundamental aspects of the game and there's expectation that the developers will nail that aspect of the game.

7) Familiar locations: As far as the locales are considered, you are not getting a completely new world. According to the developers some locations will have familiarities with some of the other things which is a good thing. If the gamers can recognize the locations, then the game becomes more believable and immersive while a completely different world is considerably more difficult to grasp.

6) Current generation of PC and consoles: The developers are planning to release this game for current generation of the consoles and the PC. What this means is that they have a short window for releasing a game from this point onwards.

5) Based on the pen-paper RPG: The Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be based on the pen-paper RPG. Originally it was developed in the year 1988 and was called Cyberpunk 2020 and it is still available in both the digital and paper forms.

4) Customizable main character: According to the developers "V" is the main character in the game. However "V" comes with the blank slate. The name, appearance, gender everything is open for the user to customize and mould it in the way they like.

3) First person view: Having a first person view is rare for the RPG. Usually it's the third person view but this is going to be first person and its fascinating as it will enable the gamers to completely immerse themselves in the game.

2) Presence of companions: One of the companions that has been confirmed by the developers is bilingual Jackie. There is no certainty on any more companions but there is a belief that you'd need to develop relationships with the companions for them to be your true ally.

1) Vertical and horizontal setting: The CD Projekt developers revealed fascinating information that the game will involve travelling over land and up and down. As this game is set in the city, much of the game will be over buildings and sky scrapers rather than taking place on the ground. This adds an interesting element to the game.
