Someone Leaked 20 Minutes Footage of Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk 2077 will not be released until December 10th, but some players probably already have a copy. The first streamer even showed the picture of the game. The leak with gameplay from the start ran for 20 minutes, but the streamer will probably enjoy it longer. CD Projekt Red announces to take "legal action" against anyone who breaks the embargo.
This was the stream: A user showed 20 minutes of gameplay of Cyberpunk 2077. The game was presented on the PS4. In the stream one could see:
- The character creation
- then the first 18 minutes of the game
The material shown was scenes from the "Prologue of the nomadic prehistory of the PS4 Pro. The streamer was mainly concerned with celebrating how early he can show the game and how great it is that he can show it so early.Hardly anyone saw the stream live: In the end, the Streamer had 52 viewers. But then mirrors of the first 20 minutes spread over the net.
CD Projekt Red deleted leak, but too many mirrors appearing
This is how CD Projekt Red goes about it: The development team has apparently been busy for the last few hours deleting mirrors of the 20-minute stream from the net. This is as tedious as squeezing the toothpaste back into the tube.
If you are looking for the clip, you will find working mirrors in forums like "Resetera" to watch the video. CD Projekt Red has announced to the Dualshockers site that it will "take legal action against anyone who breaks the embargo/street date.
Thus the leak to cyberpunk 2077 is discussed: In the last few days there has already been some gameplay. Journalists already spent hours with Cyberpunk 2077, wrote big previews and showed gameplay. Therefore the new leaked gameplay is not really exciting now. But at least it is interesting to see how the "unpatched Cyberpunk 2077" runs on a normal PS4. This looks "decent", say the users of Reset Era for example.
Beware of spoilers after gameplay leak
What's the catch on that leak? This version seems to be gameplay from a version that still lacks the optimization of a day one patch.
Players now fear that they will be spoiled by people who have already played the game. So from now on you should probably be careful if you want to give yourself Cyberpunk 2077 without knowing what to expect. The streamer who was on Twitch for 20 minutes with Cyberpunk 2077 could at least hear from the developers' lawyers and think about these 20 minutes a lot longer.
Cyberpunk 2077 is probably the most anticipated game of 2020 and we hope to finally see it released on December 10th, 2020!
