Faunus [Minecraft 1.20.1] v1.0.0
Faunus mod adds exotic animals from America to Minecraft, making the world both more interesting and dangerous. About a dozen new creatures will appear in the game, including voracious piranhas in the swamps and playful capuchin monkeys in the jungle. But besides that, the mod also adds a lot of interesting mechanics.
Contents
Jungle
Capuchins: neutral monkeys that can be tamed with fruit. Tamed individuals help to collect items and can reproduce. Wild monkeys can defend themselves in a group.
Quetzals: magnificent birds whose feathers can be used to create an amulet that increases speed and attracts inhabitants.
Goacins: feed on leaves and emit a foul odor that scares away mobs. Their feathers are used to create special potions.
Tapirs: large animals that can be tamed with potatoes or fruit. They provide meat and skin, but can attack back, casting an effect that attracts monsters. They can also be “milked” into a bottle to create potions.
Piranhas: aggressive fish that are found in jungles and swamps. They are dangerous even to players.
Swamps
Yakaras: large crocodiles that can be fed with fish. They become more dangerous after eating the player.
Arapaimas: huge fish that can do significant damage. They can be bred with spider eyes.
Leeches: parasites with healing properties. They can be collected in bottles and used to create potions that give the effect of vampirism.
Crayfish: come in regular green and rare blue. They can be caught by hand and the blue ones are used to create potions.
Biting Turtles: Hide in the mud, but attack those who come too close.
Songbirds: decorative birds with different variations that add to the atmosphere.
