Rockstar Reveals New Locations in GTA 6!
Rockstar Games has started to gradually reveal details of its most anticipated project - Grand Theft Auto 6. This time the studio shared a series of screenshots and official descriptions of key locations that will be included in the new map of the game. In the center of events - the state of Leonida, inspired by the American South, with a characteristic architecture, climate and social background. Instead of the usual division into districts of one city, as it was in previous parts, players will be offered six separate zones with different structure and atmosphere.
The developers emphasized on contrast. Locations range from modern metropolises to abandoned tourist zones. Each area has its own purpose, mood and logical role in the overall picture of the game world. Rockstar apparently relies not only on visual richness, but also on meaningful elaboration of the environment. Urban bustle, tropical negligence, post-industrial reality and wildlife are neatly woven into the structure of the new game.
The main focus is on Vice City - the neon hasn't faded, but there's a lot more cynicism hiding behind it now. The city looks attractive on a postcard, but turn off the tourist route and you'll find yourself in an environment where it's every man for himself. Seaside streets with polished facades, hotels and trendy clubs are just the top layer. Underneath are semi-legal businesses, street dealers, and neighborhoods where everything is based on personal agreements rather than laws.
Leonida Keys are islands where the heat doesn't abate even at night, and the quiet of the waterfront is often deceptive. This place is not about luxury, but about promiscuity without boundaries. There are no schedules here, but there are established roles: someone stirring cocktails, someone crossing the water on a speedboat without looking back. A neighborhood for those who have run away from something - and know exactly why.
The Grassrivers is a marshy area where nature dictates the conditions. It's not a place you go for a picnic: swampy paths, dark water, and sounds that you quickly get used to if you want to survive. People are rare here, and it is usually best not to engage in dialog with them. Everyone survives as best they can: some hunt, some hide, some just live alone and silent.
Port Gellhorn is all that's left of the dream of easy money. Nothing is being built here, just fixing things that haven't fallen apart yet. The parks are closed, the hotels are empty, but life goes on: at the counters, at the gas stations, in the cheap motels. It's slow, but it's business as usual. It's not an edge, it's a habit of simple living.
Ambrosia is an area where the air smells of processed sugar and burned-out gasoline. Factory shifts go one by one, bikers don't argue with security, and laws are concepts. It's hard to get through here, but if you “belong” - the system won't spit you out. Every day is a compromise between order and the need to turn a blind eye to what's going on.
"Calaga Mountain" is the last thing standing between the state and silence. The forests here are thick and the trails get lost in ravines. People come to hide - and stay. Who they used to be doesn't matter anymore. It's the distance to the nearest road that decides, and whether you have the patience to live without a signal. A place at the intersection of peace and isolation.
All six regions will be available in GTA 6 at the time of release. As a reminder, the game is due for release on May 26, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. There is no information about the release on PC yet.
