Well, it seems that the wait is not so long - GTA 6 is officially announced, there is a trailer, fans are rejoicing, and the Internet is wondering what we will need “under the hood” to run this masterpiece on PC. There are no official requirements yet, but there are already a lot of guesses on the net. Let's fantasize together!
So, if we believe the rumors, the minimum requirements may look like this: a six-core processor like Intel Core i5-6600K, a graphics card of GTX 1660 level and about 12-16 GB of RAM. In general, it's not terrible, especially if you don't have the oldest computer.
But if you want to play with comfort, without brakes and with decent graphics, you should count on something bigger. For example, Intel Core i7-8700K, RTX 2080 SUPER and 16-32 GB RAM - such “hardware” can quite pull out the game at high settings.
But if you are the very person who puts only “ultra” and does not recognize compromises, then, most likely, we are talking about something like RTX 4060 or even RTX 4090. And to them in a pair - the most powerful processor, say, i9-13900K or Ryzen 9 7950X. And more RAM - 32 GB will definitely not be superfluous.
By the way, especially curious fans even watched the trailer frame by frame, studied the graphics and made their own predictions based on the RAGE engine. Weighed, thought and came to the conclusion that “weigh” GTA 6 can be about 150 GB. So it's better to free the disk in advance!
The cool thing is that all of this is just speculation. That means that we still have time to prepare mentally (and financially). After all, if the story repeats, as with previous parts of GTA, then first we are waiting for the release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and then - and the long-awaited version for PC.
In general, we wait, hope and believe. In the meantime, upgrade your cars and dream about the day when we will be able to drive through the streets of Weiss City together with Lucia and Jason!
