While Rockstar continues to remain silent, Grand Theft Auto fans traditionally do what they do best - gather bits of information, build theories and construct hypothetical family trees of characters. This time under suspicion was Lucia - one of the main characters of the upcoming GTA 6. User under the nickname @gtasixy made a suggestion, which instantly attracted the attention of the fan community. He believes that Lucia may be a relative of Luis Fernando Lopez from GTA 4: The Ballad of Gay Tony.

The main clue was the place of origin of both characters. Both Lucia and Luis were born in Liberty City, a city that over the years has become something of a genetic code for the GTA universe. What's more interesting, however, is that Lucia, according to available information, later ended up in Weiss City. This fits exactly into the biography of Ernesto Lopez, Luis' older brother. According to GTA Wiki, Ernesto left Liberty City to “start a family.” While details of his new life remain in the shadows, it is known that he had children whose names have not been revealed.

gtasixy suggests that it is Ernesto who may be Lucia's father. In his opinion, the version that Luis is her father sounds doubtful, but the role of uncle is much more likely. Especially since in the trailer and screenshots Lucia often appears with a pendant in the form of a boxing glove - a symbol that could refer to the past, full of fights and streets. And her bio also mentions that her father started teaching her how to fight “almost as soon as she got on her feet.”

Voiceover as Evidence

A curious nuance, also pointed out by gtasixy, concerns the voice actors. The alleged performer of the role of Lucia, actress Manny L. Perez, is signed on social media to an actor who once voiced Luis Lopez. It's hardly ironclad proof, but the fan community knows how to make a fire out of even the smallest spark.

But until the official release of GTA 6 all this remains only speculation.
