The release of the sixth part of Grant Theft Auto is waiting for all fans of the series. But there is still no information about the exact date of release. And it is logical that many are wondering why Rockstar keeps this date in secret?  Perhaps it's a joke and the company decided to organize a social experiment to test the interest of players? Or they have big problems with the release of the game, so the information about the exact release date is not disclosed, so as not to upset fans? In fact, everything is much simpler. Let's try to figure it out.

And to understand why so, we will be helped by the words of Strauss Zelnick - CEO of Take-Two Interactive, who in his interview to the famous edition of Bloomberg shared the details that the reason for such scriteness of the release date is quite trivial - this is one of the most expected games of the year, so the company wants to fuel interest in it, creating some intrigue. In short, it can be called a marketing move, which will attract more new players to the product due to the fact that the community of players will begin to actively discuss the release date of GTA 6, speculate and share it with those who are not familiar with the series at all.

Zelnick said:

“We want to maintain that anticipation and excitement. We have competitors who outline their release schedule years in advance. We've found that it's best to provide marketing materials relatively close to the release date to create that excitement on one side and balance it with the unmet expectation. We're always trying to get it right, but that's what we're trying to accomplish”.

Recall that Zelnick himself previously reported that the official release is scheduled for the fall of 2025. But the exact month was not voiced anywhere. It is also known that first GTA 6 will be released on consoles. Presumably, the release of the game can raise the sales of consoles.

As for the PC version, the release date is not clear. There are quite a lot of discussions about it in the network, but the exact information when Grant Theft Auto 6 will be released on PC from the developers did not come.

Also many players were probably wondering what is the reason for such a long pause between the release of GTA 5 and the planned 6th part of the game? According to the executive director of publisher Take-Two this is a knowledgeable and thoughtful move. Their strategy is to release a quality product and in order not to make an assembly line product, you need to spend a lot of time on development. That's why the pause between the release of the previous installment of the game and its sequel is so long. This is the reason for the pause of 12 years before the release of GTA 6.
